Kegs

Sourced in Holland our revolutionary KeyKegs are made of multi-layer, lightweight materials which are 100% recyclable!

The patented Keg ‘Bag-in-Ball’ principle is based on a specially developed laminated (inner bag inside a high-tech) PET container. This inner bag allows the wine to be stored in the keg without ever encountering air, gas or light.

This is paramount in preserving the freshness of the wine and once filled, our 20 and 30-litre kegs have a shelf life of at least 9 months. Once broached, the wine will remain in pristine condition for 2 months.

Dispensers

At Fine Wine on Tap we use the exclusive and elegant Lindr dispensers sourced from the Czech Republic. These revolutionary dispensing systems are available in two forms, the 3-tap Soudek and the 2-tap Pygmy. They have an inbuilt cooler and compressor for dispensing (no gas)

The vintage aesthetic of the Soudek is attributed to its high quality oak wood shell combined with modern stainless-steel taps. This 3-tap dispenser allows pouring of 2 chilled wines and one tap for ambient reds.

The more stylish appearance of the 2-tap Pygmy is due to its clean illuminated panels and compact size of 180 x 300 x 345mm. This plug and play dispenser has two built-in taps, both for chilled wines or alternatively for one chilled white and one ambient red.

HOW IT WORKS

The in-built air compressor in the dispensers work by forcing air into the keg between the outer plastic composite shell and the alu-foil bag. The bag starts to compress squeezing the wine out of the keg, up through the pipes and out of the taps.

The use of compressed air to squeeze the inner high spec alu-foil bag means that no gas propellants, oxygen or light comes into contact with the wine, preserving its taste and freshness. This ultimately ensures that the first glass poured will be just as magnificent as the last!
